FlatClient ECO-AML/ADN and the FlatClient PRO-RPL. Both devices offer highly flexible and robust performance to meet the requirements of modern industrial applications. They are characterised by high availability and a long service life, making them ideal for use in demanding environments.
Hardware and processor performance
The FlatClient ECO-AML/ADN is based on processors from the Intel® N series, Intel® Core™ i3 N series or Intel Atom® X7000 processors (code-named “Alderlake N” or “Amston Lake”). These processors feature outstanding performance with low power consumption and an attractive price-performance range.
The FlatClient PRO-RPL, then, is equipped with 13th generation Intel® Core™ processors (code-named “Raptor Lake”), which offer a high level of computing power with up to ten cores. This processor ensures a noticeable improvement in performance, especially with more demanding applications. In addition, the Intel® Iris® Xe GPU of the PRO-RPL enables efficient AI acceleration, supported by Intel® Deep Learning Boost and Intel® Gaussian & Neural Accelerator 3.0.
Technical highlights
Both Panel PCs offer a wide range of technical properties that qualify them for industrial applications:
Display: Both models have scratch-resistant, easy-to-clean displays with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint surface finishes. They are highly legible, even in difficult lighting conditions, and offer detailed Full HD or WXGA resolution. The displays are available in sizes from 10.1” to 23.8”.
Storage and connectivity: Both Panel PCs offer up to 1TB M.2 SSD storage and DDR5 RAM. They support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth for wireless communication. In addition, both models are equipped with two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and two DisplayPorts.
I/O and expandability: The FlatClient ECO-AML/ADN offers four USB 3.2 ports, including a USB-C port, while the FlatClient PRO-RPL also offers four USB 3.2 ports.
Robustness and durability: Both models are featured by a robust, fanless metal housing that ensures a highly durable and reliable design. The design prevents dirt corners and edges, which contributes to longevity.
Touchscreen: Both devices have projected capacitive multi-touch displays (PCAP), which can also be operated with gloves and recognise drops (drop rejection) and the ball of the hand (palm rejection).
Applications and operating scenarios
The FlatClient Panel PCs are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where reliability and performance are required. They are ideal for use in production plants, machine control systems, HMI applications and many other areas where user-friendly and robust operation is required. Both models can be used as built-in versions, for example for mounting in control cabinet doors or control panels, or as free-standing devices on VESA-compatible brackets.
Thanks to their flexibility in terms of display size, processor performance and memory expansion, both models can be customised to meet specific requirements. With the optionally available “QIWI Toolkit”, the Panel PCs can also be converted into an intuitive web panel that is easy to configure and maintain.
In addition, with the secure, hardened Linux® operating system KontronOS, Kontron offers a solution that fulfils the increased requirements for cyber security.
The FlatClient ECO-AML/ADN and FlatClient PRO-RPL provide a reliable solution for industrial applications, from machine operation to more complex requirements such as AI implementation.
