The KBox A-151 series is a robust and versatile family of industrial PCs based on the latest Intel® processors, optimized for use in 5G and edge computing networks. The new KBox A-151-AML/ADN models, equipped with Intel® N processors, Intel® Core™ i3 N series processors, and Intel Atom® X7000 processors (codenamed “Alder Lake N” or “Amston Lake”), offer high processing and graphics performance with low power consumption and an excellent price-performance ratio. The KBox A-151-RPL, powered by 13th generation Intel® Core™ processors (codenamed “Raptor Lake”), is particularly suited for demanding IoT edge or AI applications, delivering even greater performance.
Hardware
The KBox A-151-AML/ADN and KBox A-151-RPL provide a wide range of technical features, making them ideal solutions for industrial IoT gateway applications. Both models support up to eight and ten cores, respectively, enabling OEM manufacturers and solution providers to fully leverage their IoT infrastructures. They are equipped with two DisplayPorts, allowing flexible use for monitors and industrial visualization solutions. Two 2.5 GbE interfaces with TSN functionality ensure reliable and high-performance network communication.
The KBox A-151-RPL model features four USB 3.2 ports for fast data transfer, while the KBox A-151-AML/ADN includes three USB 3.2 ports, one USB-C port, and one USB 2.0 port. Additionally, both models offer two serial interfaces, facilitating seamless integration into existing industrial systems.
For maximum expandability, three M.2 slots are available, supporting NVMe SSDs as well as communication modules for 4G/5G or WiFi 6. The new front-facing I/O expansion allows easy integration of specific interfaces such as fieldbuses, additional serial or digital I/Os, and Ethernet connections.
To meet the increasing demands for cybersecurity, the KBox A-151 series offers the hardened, Linux®-based KontronOS operating system as well as the KontronGrid platform for efficient management of container applications on edge devices.

The KBox A-151 series has been specifically designed for industrial IoT applications and is particularly suited for 5G edge computing, IoT gateways, and data-intensive automation solutions. It enables efficient sensor integration and real-time data processing, making it ideal for smart manufacturing, industrial control systems, and AI-driven applications.
Thanks to its robust, fanless design, the Box PCs are built for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. The extended temperature ranges from 0°C to +60°C, or optionally from -40°C to +60°C, ensures high system availability under extreme conditions. The flexible mounting options, whether via DIN rail or wall mounting, allow seamless integration into various industrial infrastructures.
