Aaronn Electronic will be exhibiting at SPS in Nuremberg (Nov. 8-10, 2022) in Hall 7/Stand 257 with a proven product portfolio for a wide range of automation applications. The system integrator also intends to use the fair to exchange information with customers and interested parties about new developments in the fields of AI and Deep Learning. In addition, Aaronn will be showing innovative products from its long-standing technology partners Kontron, Advantech and ADLINK, ranging from HMI solutions to very flexibly expandable box PCs and SOMs based on the OSM standard.
“After the time of virtual and hybrid trade fairs, we are glad to be able to talk to customers and interested parties on site again on a regular basis. For this, we have numerous exciting products with us at the SPS, with which we cover a wide range of requirements in the automation of different areas,” says Florian Haidn, Managing Director of Aaronn Electronic. “In addition to proven products and solutions, this also includes some interesting innovations that are perfectly suited for tasks that are just emerging – be it particularly compact SOMs according to the new OSM standard, HMI solutions or offerings in the field of deep learning and AI in image processing,” Haidn names a few examples.
At SPS Messe 2022, Aaronn will once again demonstrate its competencies as a one-stop shop for embedded systems and show how customers are supported in automation and digitalization in a targeted, individual and comprehensive manner. In addition to personal technical support and the many years of experience of its team in design-in, carrier board design, customer-specific housing design and rapid prototyping, the company also focuses on the wide range of products in different form factors and performance levels.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
Flexibility and expansion options are the keys to industrial PCs. This is due to the fact that requirements have never changed and developed as quickly as they do today. That makes it even more important to rely on platforms that are modularly expandable and can therefore be used over the long term.
These include, for example, the IPC-220/240 V2 and IPC-242 box PCs from Advantech. Both models support socketed Intel Core-i CPUs of the 10th generation and are particularly flexible to adapt and expand thanks to the iDoor concept. Advantech’s UNO box PC platform is also characterized by expandability. Here, a dockable, second aluminum chassis with up to four iDoor extensions serves this purpose. This creates a particularly high degree of flexibility for interface combinations. The Advantech MIC-770/MIC-770 V2 industrial PC series is ideal for high performance without a fan. Despite a TDP of 65 watts and with 8th, 9th or 10th Gen Core i7 CPUs, the series can provide high computing power with excellent passive cooling.
With Single Board Computers (SBC), Computer-on-Modules (COM) and motherboards, Aaronn also offers high-quality embedded PC boards for all requirements. As one of Kontron’s most successful European sales partners and system integrators, we are also supporting the market launch of the new COM HPC and OSM (Open Standard Module) module standards. As an independent standard, COM-HPC offers an evolutionary further development of the proven COM Express standard for performance-hungry applications. With the Open Standard Module (OSM), modules are soldered onto a carrier board during assembly. This provides a fixed connection between board and SOM module and enables the permanent assignment of the module to the carrier board. With a module size from 15 x 30 millimeters, OSM modules are also suitable for application scenarios with little space.
The NEON series from ADLINK Technology also opens up completely new possibilities for supporting automation projects and business processes through video analysis. The “Edge Video Analytics” system is compact, robust and, thanks to BASLER image sensors and the NVIDIA ® Jetson™ platform, currently one of the most powerful “smart cameras”. With a resolution between 1.2 and 5 megapixels and a frame rate between 14 and 60 fps, defect detection, process optimization and visual inspections are possible with the NEON models, even in fast-moving production processes.
With increasingly powerful components in the peripheral areas of the network – at the “edge” – it is becoming possible to perform more and more tasks directly there as well. This relieves the networks, the central resource and enables lower latency times. It also enables AI applications to be trained for specific tasks and used in a very targeted manner.
Aaronn technology partner ADLINK has a deep learning platform for edge computing in its portfolio for this purpose. It is specifically designed for AI applications in the fields of healthcare, production or transportation and offers developers the possibility to select the optimal combination of CPUs and GPUs for their purpose. The experts from Aaronn will be happy to explain in a personal conversation at the trade fair what needs to be taken into account when training AI and what possibilities the deep learning platform offers.
